Introducing Plant Photo Tagging

photoTag_example

Have you ever been in someone’s garden and wondered about the exact name of a plant and whether it might grow in your garden? Well, with Your Garden Show’s new Plant Photo Tagging feature, you will wonder no more.

Plant Photo Tagging allows you to turn any garden photo into a rich tapestry of what you have planted. It’s fun, informative and will be very helpful to other gardeners as they visit your garden. You can easily add plant names from our database and/or make notes about anything you’d like. To get started, sign-in and go to your garden slideshow.

Click on any image in your slideshow, which will take you to the Media Detail Page. There you will see the “Tag” icon just below your photo. Click on the icon and you are ready to tag! Simply click and drag your mouse over a plant or area you’d like to highlight or tag. A pop-up box will appear and ask for either a plant name or a note - add one or both, then click “tag” and you’ve just tagged your garden!

To see examples of Plant Photo Tagging in action, click here, here and here.

We’ve also made a video to help you understand, in more detail, exactly how Plant Photo Tagging works. Enjoy!

Great feature! We have some 'stills' in our video, but doesn't look like we can 'tag' in a video, right?
